Two young Chinese pianists performed at the premier of "The Legend of 1900" in Beijing.

Twelve-year-old Li Haiming and 11-year-old Liu Fangzi, who have both won many international awards, took to the stage on Monday in Beijing accompanied by an orchestra playing original classical music from the film.

The concert director, Xie Junyi, said he thinks highly of the sound effects in this 4K-restored version of the film, adding that the film's melodies are all very touching.

Starring Tim Roth, "The Legend of 1900" tells the story of a baby boy found abandoned in 1900 on an ocean liner. The boy grows into a musical prodigy who never sets foot on land.

The film will be released tomorrow for the first time on the Chinese mainland.
